Sage MAS 90/200 User Group Meeting Scheduled

Following the October and November online user group meetings covering the latest product updates and user customization options, the meetings go live again next week as we meet to discuss year end processing for all of your modules.

The year end user group is always full of information you will not want to miss. Lunch is provided and the meeting will close with the Open Forum so come ready to learn and ask questions.

Payroll Filing and Reporting

It’s December 1 and year end looms. If you need tax forms for payroll or for your vendors, now is the time to get your orders processed. Standard forms and other tax forms are available too.

While required for businesses submitting more than 250 W-2s or 1099s, electronic reporting is a cost-saving and time-saving option for more and more organizations. With the Electronic Reporting module for MAS 90 and 200, users can generate and file online while printing and distributing forms to their employees and vendors as needed. The annual maintenance cost for the module is only $85.

Now there is also an option to out-source reporting and e-filing through Sage and the partnership with Aatrix. Through the e-File Center, form data is viewed and edited and after it is verified, ready to print or eFile. Once you eFile, you’ll receive an email confirmation that the file was received. The e-File Center will file your state and federal W-2s and 1099 and mail the employees’ W-2s or contractor’s 1099s directly to them or offer your employees their W-2s over a secured website. Year End Information

Sage has announced that the Q1 2011 Tax Table Update (TTU) and Interim Release Download (IRD) should be available after December 17, 2010. The TTU will be updated each week with adjustments  for late-breaking changes. In line with Sage’s practice of releasing comprehensive updates, all of the program changes in the IRD will be included in Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200 v4.40 Product Update 4 and Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200 v4.30 Service Update 21 which are expected to be available the week of December 27, 2010. If you install PU4 or SU21 instead of the IRD, you will still need to download and install the Q1 2011 Tax Table Update before processing your first payroll for 2011.

MAS 90 and MAS 200 Year End Updates Available

Two days in advance of the announced Interim Release Download (IRD) release date, Sage has posted both the IRD and the Tax Table Update (TTU). Both are available to licensed users with a current Sage MAS Subscription/Maintenance plan. Follow the simple instructions to download each file:

  1. Login to Sage Software Online
  2. Click the IRD link
  3. Click the TTU link

Always make careful considerations when you are installing updates to your live systems.
