Personalizing Your MAS 90 or MAS 200 Interface

The menus and tasks in MAS 90 and MAS 200 are a part of the launcher. It is where you start your tasks and we you open MAS 90 or MAS 200, it looks the same for every user, but different users have different jobs and need access to differnet items.

Without the expense of a new license, you can modify your launcher to give you quick access to the items you use most often saving your time and frustration of clicking though menus to launch a task.

On July 23 we are hosting an in-class training session covering the Top 10 ways to custom your launcher. On July 29 we will offer the class online. Each session is only $50 per person and seating is limited so send an email now to reserve your seat.

Reconciling Bank Accounts In Minutes

The Bank Reconciliation module is your cash management tool. Integrated modules write transactions and adjustments can be made within Bank Rec giving you accurate, timely information about your bank account balances. Bank Rec is a core function of MAS 90 and MAS 200 that most customers don’t take full advantage of. With Bank Rec, balancing all of your bank accounts can be completed in a matter of minutes without the frustration of manually managing and tracking banking transactions.

We are offering a half-day session covering the setup, features, and processing within the Bank Rec module. Seats are available for the June 30 session. The price is $200 and customers with an Acuity service agreement are eligible for special pricing.

Like our other classroom sessions, the Bank Reconciliation class includes hands-on exercises and printed curriculum for review. Call 702-966-2000 or email us to reserve your seat.

Saving Time, Money and Frustration

In a new article, Suzanne at Plugin.com summarizes some recent studies. Two items in particular stand out for me

The average retrieval/refiling time for a paper document: 10 minutes. However, about 3% of documents are lost or misfiled, leading to a recovery rate of $120 per document. (Study by the Gartner Group, Coopers & Lybrand, Ernst & Young)
The average executive wastes 150 hours each year looking for misplaced documents. (2003 study by Office World News)

By scanning your paper documents and accepting electronic copies, you can avoid this frustration and expense. Join us for a FREE 45 minute educational webinar “Organize Documents and Improve Workflow”

Sales Tax Increase In Clark County

As of July 1, 2009 sales tax in Clark County will increase from 7.75% to 8.1% based on an increase of the Local School Support Tax. If you are selling taxable items, the changes to your tax tables will be key. To calculate sales tax properly, the changes will need to be made after all sales have been completed on June 30, 2009 AND before any sales are made on July 1, 2009.

Now is the time to make your plans for addressing these changes. Send an email to open a service case if you need assistance in making the modifications in MAS 90 or MAS 200.

Don’t forget to make changes in any other systems you might be using to sell taxable items.

Sage’s Customer Conference

Sage Summit, the annual end-user conference for products like ACT!, Peachtree and of course MAS 90 and MAS 200 is scheduled for November 9-12 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

I haven’t had an opportunity to attend Sage Summit in the past but my experiences at the latest vendor conferences, Sage Insights, have been outstanding. To sign up for emails about Sage Summit, just fill out this form.

If you have been or are thinking about going, let us know in the comments.
