Our History

1989Wilson, Beers & Company is founded by Dave Wilson, Certified NetWare Engineer and Bob Beers, Certified Public Accountant form Wilson, Beers & Company.
1990Novell's NetWare operating system is updated to add key features for distributed enterprises, led the business computing market with a nearly 70 percent share.
1991Wilson, Beers & Company hires one of its first employees, Shari Farkas, as Sales Manager.
1993Gary Alu becomes shareholder and joins partners Wilson and Beers to form Wilson, Beers & Alu.
1993Intel releases Pentium Chip.
1993Microsoft releases its first server operating system, Windows NT.
1994Annette Egbert joins Wilson, Beers & Alu.
1996 Shari Farkas becomes a shareholder.
1996Dave Wilson leaves Wilson, Beers & Alu, moves to Mississippi and becomes the IT Director for the Beau Rivage.
1998Both NetWare 5, the server operating system, and Novell Directory Services (NDS) begin shipping with native support for IP, the Internet communications protocol.
1998Brian Rice joins the company as Account Manager
1998The Sage Group acquires State of the Art, publishers of MAS 90 Business Management and Accounting Software.
2000Diana Miller joins the team as Office Manager.
2000 Acuity Solutions, LLC is formed by Terry Schwarz and Stewart, Archibald and Barney.
2002The Sage Group assumes the Best Software brand name for US operations.
2002Wilson, Beers & Alu merges with Acuity Solutions, LLC and Bob Beers, founding partner of Wilson, Beers & Alu, sells his shares of the company.
2002Brian Alu joins the team full-time as a Business Technology Consultant.
2003Best Software acquires Timberline Software Company.
2004Novell acquires SUSE LINUX, one of the world's leading enterprise Linux companies.
2004Best Software acquires AccPac International.
2004Eric Bjerke joins the team as a Financial Application Consultant.
2005 Best Software changes its' name back to Sage Software, which is the same as the parent company in the UK.
2005 Jolee Rivera joins Acuity Solutions as Project/ATC Coordinator.
2006 Esther Woolford joins Acuity Solutions as Sage MAS 90/200 Trainer and Consultant.
2006 Shari Farkas and Esther Woolford become Quickbooks 2006 ProAdvisors.
2006 Acuity Solutions becomes Peachtree by Sage Authorized Partner.
2007 Acuity Solutions merges with Accounting Computer & Software Solutions. The merger brings Michael J. Mehr, CPA to the team and adds Sage AccPac, Sage CRM and Cyma to the Acuity Solutions product offerings.
2007 Gary Alu has earned Certified Information Security Systems Professional certification (CISSP)
2007 Shari Farkas, Esther Woolford and Michael J. Mehr, CPA become QuickBooks 2007 ProAdvisors.
