Community Involvement
Acuity Solutions, LLC believes in a strong community. We are grateful for the success we have experience here in Southern Nevada and recognize this would not be possible without the support of family, friends, neighbors and the business sector here in Las Vegas. Acuity partners and employees are involved in our community at all different levels. Below are a few of the programs and projects we have embraced.
School Art Project
Young Artists' Work Displayed Beyond School
Walking into the offices of Acuity Solutions, the first thing you notice might be the company logo cutout in the wall. The first thing you notice might be the Norwegian Blue wall of the foyer. Maybe the Rio Red walls in the office of Annette Egbert, Senior Consultant or the Basil Green walls in Sales Manager, Shari Farkas's Office. Any one of these things might be the first thing to catch your eye, however, the thing that holds your attention is the original artwork covering the walls. You probably wouldn't recognize any of the names of the artists and you probably wouldn't guess that the artists are still in school - each is a student at CP Squires Elementary School.
Cindy McDonald, the head of the school's Art Department, teaches her students about the masters of the world of art: Cezanne, Klee, O'Keefe, Picasso. First the class learns the facts, a historical lesson about the artist's life, and then they observe the style that the artist used. With a complete idea of how the artist worked and what they wanted to accomplish, the students become artists as they create a piece of art in a similar style. Although this does complete an entire lesson, it is not the end.
After mimicking the treatments of some of the masters, the young artists begin to work in a manner all their own. Choosing their subject, defining their style, these students create works of art that are their very own in every way.
To show the new artists the lengths to which their work reaches, Acuity Solutions, invited all of the students to attend a showing of their work in the offices at the Acuity Financial Center. The seventeen guests of honor arrived in a stretch Expedition limousine. After touring the offices and the training center where their work hangs, they met the employees of Acuity Solutions that enjoy their work everyday. After the tour, the students were treated to pizza and sandwiches. During lunch, one young artist, David Carrera, declared the entire effort a success by saying 'this is the best day ever!
